Difference between jquery version 3.1.1 and 3.4.1;which one is better

In SoloLearn, I have learnt jquery-3.1.1
But after I know there is version 3.4.1 is also there
Which one is better
Is using 3.1.1 is OK today

I've never used jquery, but pure sense says that 3.4.1 is better, simply because it's newer version.
I think you should be okay with 3.1.1.

3.4.1 might just bring some new builtin functions or similar, that could be useful in some cases.
