how to put the website online?

i learned a bit of html and css, and I can already do some nice stuff...ok...but how can I put it online?

You will need to get web hosting, which you can pay for or get for free. There are many paid webhosts in almost every country out there, such as GoDaddy or Host Gator (both are US companies). Many offer combination domain and site hosting if you want a one stop shop.

Once you have hosting, you can upload your web files using the services on the site and they'll be online.

I am leaving out some of the finer details of setting up DNS and whatnot, but there's a lot of great help and info out there on the web for new site owners.
