Blender Python for Artist

Hey guys, I've started to learn python for blender few days ago. Coming from 3ds max with it's maxscript it does have few similarity that hopefully make the learning process easier! Wondering is there anyone in the community job as 3d artist that into technical side of thing to build custom tools etc to improve productivity? Apologize if it's too off-topic as I'm aware that this forum more towards programmer and not so much technical artist.

I think your best bet would be to look at sample py scripts for blender to figure out implementation. I recently started doing this too. I wish you luck on your journey :D

Oh cool! Yeah I'd say I understood much more of maxscript for 3ds max way better when I see other artists script and how they implement the feature compared to just watching the tutorial. Though, the basic understanding is still needed from the tutorials to actually start to understand and make sense what the is written in the script. Hope to do the same with python and blender! And good luck to you too, Joshua!
