html5 or html4.1

Question

is the curent html in sololearn an "html5" or earlier version?
also in notepad++ do i have to specify anywhere to continue to practise like i do in sololearn or does it instantly make me code in html5? i really dong know. (mostly cause im a beginner)

HTML 5 is best. Your text editor doesn't define whether you use HTML 5 or not. All depends on your syntax. For example, there are tags like <marquee> that are depreciated. You can can write that in Notepad++ and it'll still work but it's no longer in use. 😇
And the course in SoloLearn is HTML 5, though they mentioned some tags that are depreciated but majority of its syntax is HTML5

Just open ur notepad++ and begin to use the simple tags and attributes.
