Depends...what do you exactly mean with degree? Degree (=diploma) in informatics would be very helpful :-) but you also can have a degree in somewhat business administration (or whatever else). We do also have some ppl who have this background and are very good in coding...

But without a degree (in Germany) would be difficult, but hey as I heard Volkswagen for example is hiring for people who are interested in coding but have no coding experience (and also no degree in coding). As I heard it is called "Fakultät73" (see link: https://www.volkswagen-karriere.de/de/ihr-einstieg/fakultaet-73.html ).

So based from your question there are some yes and no's, but if you are really interested & with coding backgound it should be possible..thanks due to lack of coding ppl...
