Creating interactive games with java

Question

Java can be used on many platforms, but then only mentions google android apps, you can create apps that can be used by tablets and iPhones too right? Will I learn enough to create a simple game that has chat options, and choice of individual play, team play, and players lounge?

Not in here. Here you can learn the basics of the language, but to go further you will need to start learning about the java api functions and how to work with it. Worry not though there are plenty of tutorials around the internet. Good luck! :)
