For book I literally suggest you to buy
"Head first Python"

This books basically contain python programing from scratch and later on you will find advance stuff, with some real life examples.

The same publisher made the book "Head first java" which is THE best book for Java beginners .

And you can find whole lot of lecture on YouTube and on Goole.
