The app has a timeout. If the SoloLearn servers are down or busy, the timeout occurs and the message is displayed. Of course, it also occurs for the reason that message exists, when Internet servers between you and SoloLearn are down.

Or it could be the strength of the signal in your current location. (Solution: try changing your location or position.)
