Solidity and Smart Contracts

I'll be potentially busy with Smart Contracts for public procurement. What do you think about Solidity, in pair with Ethereum? It's a request for a potential employment, so please help me...

Da2 I don't think Paolo De Nictolis is trying to reinvent anything. He's asking a legitimate question on whether or not people here have any opinions about using Solidity, as a language, for writing Smart Contracts on Ethereum, which is a block-chain platform. The use case for Ethereum expands on Bitcoin which focuses on using block-chain for recording the peer-to-peer transactional history of digital currency without a central authority. Rather, Ethereum applies a similar concept to peer-to-peer programmable contracts (a.k.a Smart Contracts) and distributed apps (a.k.a. DApps) which can be used for so many other purposes beyond finance, like Voting, Sports Betting, Supply Chain Management, Public Procurement, etc, etc. I've created a set of links for more information on this: https://www.one-tab.com/page/0hZICt9STG6s6cSJQQ9B4Q

Paolo De Nictolis I don't personally have any experience with Ethereum, or block-chain platforms for that matter. However, based on my cursory research, Solidity appears to be the primary language used for Smart Contracts on the Ethereum network. That said, your question is unclear as I'm not sure what you're actually asking. Are you asking about using Ethereum for Public Procurement? Or are you asking about using Solidity instead of another language for Smart Contracts? Or are you asking to see what it's like to be an Ethereum developer? Or something else all together?

Why are trying to reinvent the wheel? Pardon my confusion, are you trying to compete with existing platforms?
