Other than HTML, CSS, and Javascript, What do I need to create a simple browser game?

Question

Asking about what languages are essential to make simple browser game (e.g dress up game, snake, tetris). From my short course, I know HTML, CSS, and Javascript are essential, but perhaps there are more than meets the eyes? Also, what needs to be studied to be able to make browser games that are PC and mobile compatible? Thanks in advance.
