Can u still create apps with Java?

First of all yea I've searched google and quora and didnt understand a thing So since Java new upday in early 2019 wasnt free for commercial use What does "commercial use" actually mean Like i wanna create a normal app (and learning kotlin is time eating bcz i already know java) And i heard some p saying when u create apps for android, ur using goole's implementation not Oracle's implementation What im gonna create is a normal app the uses java api as a back end shared between it and the website (rest api) And yea i will be making money from it So will i have to pay oracle subscibtion for doing that? Also what if i used an older version like java 8? Also whats meant exactly by oracle's implementation Thank u if u responded

You don't have to pay Oracle. You can create your app normally. What's gonna change in Java is going to affect mostly big companies, not average users. In short words use always the latest version of Java and you won't have to pay anything. Now if you have a really big app written in a different version of Java and you want the updates for this specific version of the language, then you have to pay.
