How do i add number of download on my blog,(code)

I want to add number of download on my blog like when you upload a song and u wants to see the number of people that download it

If you already have the user downloading the songs, I suggest you use php and you can use something called ajax to run a php command from javascript once the song is downloaded. Then you can just store the number in a file on the web host or in mysql, however you prefer.
