Does physics is necessary for programming ?

It's mathematics which is really needed,
but a different kind of mathematics, discrete maths, algebra etc.
It's mostly mathematical logic in form of a generalised algorithm.

But a basic knowledge of physics may be benificial,
If you want to know how memory actually works and all that or simply if you want a more in-depth technical knowhow.

Not really but it helps to understand in a better way by taking some sort of exemple related to the physics.
