If it's a good and easy start then why not?

I only started learning how to program and code within the last year or two and from jumping around experiencing different programming languages I would highly recommend starting with python. However, you must also know what you want from learning a programming language. There's no point in learning Java say if you want to create an app for iOS, or learning Javascript to hardly ever touching it again. I've had that issue many times however, if you find something you love doing then find a language suitable to that and go from there. Because python is a reader-friendly language (easy to follow along and interpret) I'd recommend it, but also because it can be used for so many fields now, e.g. machine learning, web development, data science etc. I'd recommend doing the python course on Sololearn however, the one on Codecademy is also very thorough and worthwhile in having a look at. Hope this answers your question ;) https://www.codecademy.com/learn
