What is a script?

is it a group of HTML, CSS, JScript, php etc codes that can be purchased and modified to create a website?. It's kinda strange that I couldn't find a single answer to this on google...

A script is just the word used to talk about the source code of a program, in a text file format...
More specifically, you can make distinction between programming languages that need to be compiled in another code ( called scripts languages ), less human friendly, and those ones that can be interpreted on the fly, parsing and interpretting directly from the source code, in real time: there's advantages and disavantages to both ^^
