How to send and receive data to a website made with php using python?

Hello,
I'm trying make a PHP program that can receive data from a program running on a computer, perform some action using that data and send the result back to the program on the client's computer.. I chose to program the program on the computer using python. Please anyone help me to do that. I know the process. But not the things and methods that I should use..
