I want to learn programming to write code for machines.what language would you consider i should learn?

It is depending of a suplier PLC and its control system. At the moment there is no standart. There are KOP, FUP, Step 7, CoDeSys and SCL languages.
Recently there is a new trend towards to object oriented programming using C#. But it is still in its infancy. From here guided tutorials I would recommend C and C#.

Yes, theoretically there is this standard IEC ... (by the way similar to SCL) but the compatibility and command range of the PLC manufacturers leaves a lot to be desired.
Nevertheless it is a very interesting area for a job and with future prospects 📈.
