it depends on what you are trying to do.
The div elements are not needed, as the section element is acting similar to the div.

both can be nested in each other.
the article tag is used for a standalone piece of content (for example, a news item)
section is used to group together different articles. or to define a separate section of an article.
so both ways work just fine and depend on your website structure.
