How to start my Software development career

Hi guys,
I'm totally lost. I want to build applications mostly for desktop computers. how to I begin. I'm learning c# but how will I get into a community that build softwares like video games 3D, Enterprise apps etc.

hey there i want to achieve a career also in game development. but to begin with all this you need to know everything c# then maybe look up something like a coding competition. this is where everything will get better as you earn the reputation (if you win the competition) that could reach to company who will talk to you
