Java and java script are actually fairly different including their origin. Different languages are created based on the requirement of the current market. Java was made because there was no language that had platform independence, so all devices running on any platform could have the same source code.This java is named core Java and is used in stand alone or local machines.Now java runs on billions of devices.
Java script was made on the same belief but not for local devices but for the web.The problem during the time of java script was dat the same webpage on an apple browser would behave and look differently than on a windows browser.So, JavaScript was made.
