What to do after learning Java from Book

I am mechanical engineer, I know C language also,
Currently I am learnig JAVA from books(Head First Java and , JaVa beginers guide).
Plz provide me further path of my journey means whats should I learn and do after learning JAVA from books..

I love coding things,
And I have also good analytical and logical skill,
So I want to know that in which field I have to try my that skill and for that what things I have to learn after JAVA.
Good analytical and logical skill means I like work with data , develop algorithms based on math and logics.

As I am mechanical engineer I have not idea about all field related computer science so i just want to know a field in which I can apply my skill.
