the easiest: install ubuntu in dual boot and access/save your important data on the ntfs windows partition. Once you're done decide what to do with the windows partition.

Another option (hardware dependant) the fastest:
remove your hard disk and connect it to another device via a sata to usb adaptor.
Access/save your important data.
Once you're done decide what to do with the windows partition.
