Why doesn't input work properly in Code Playground?

Question

Multiple inputs have to be bunched together into one (using new lines) and the text you want to display (for example: 'Please enter a number between 1 and 10:') is not shown when you run the program...

I spent about 15 minutes searching for answers and the only explanation I could find is "that's a limitation of Code Playground", so I guess that will have to do 🤷‍♂️
