Java applications are run in a virtual machine or web browser while JavaScript is run on a web browser. Java code is compiled whereas while JavaScript code is in text and in a web page. JavaScript is an OOP scripting language, whereas Java is an OOP programming language.
And they have similar names because JavaScript's syntax is loosely based on Java's that's why JavaScript and Java have similar name. ...
The project was originally called Mocha, then renamed to LiveScript, and finally to JavaScript when Netscape and Sun did a license agreement.
Hope it helps :-)

And to build a professional website you have to learn web(Html5,Css3 and Javascript).
Python is a programming language used to build programs not websites

A few misconceptions and a whole world to explore.
Learning programing will become much easier when you have a set goal, otherwise you'll just hop between languages and get stuck in tutorial hell.
If what you're after is creating a website, definitely look into the basic building blocks - HTML for structure and content, CSS language to personalise and style your page and last - javascript to add functionality.
Java is a general purpose language and has nothing to do with Web design, you CAN use it as a server side language but that's another can of worms to unpack. For now, do the HTML course and start coding yourself as soon as possible - practice makes perfect
