Is knowing more than one language an advantage for software dev. position in a company?

not programming language; like french, espanol, deutsch etc.

If yes, which languages to learn would be a better idea?

It is, which languages depends on the company and industry. Some companies have offshore development departments in different countries. Spanisch, German are easy to learn and often useful.
