How to separate users in angular 8 with PHP backend

Question

Hi, I've been trying to separate different users in my angular web app such as admin user can access different pages than a normal user etc. I've done a lot of research and I am still very confused. There has been a mention online of Auth guard but I sing it hard to incorporate it with my php backend. Any help would be great!
