html4 and html5 use

can we use some tags that defined in html4 but it has another tag in html5? wich one is better? using the same in html4 or html5?

sheyda many of the HTML4 tags are depreciated and best left in the past but when troubleshooting you need to know what is out and how to update so things work right. Current version / standard is HTML5.

The tags in HTML 5 are so much better because people are using it today, and people will understand it a whole lot better. Besides, an updated version could be a lot better than an older version.
