each letter of the string has a position i. If this number is in line a and column b then 9*a+b =i

Alexander, iterating trough the string we have just an index i. We can make guessing what place index "i" should get. But describing +2 variables behavior makes the code too complicated when we need to simplify the implementation.
Anyway, thank you very much for your participation. I already found the solution just by checking all the conditions thoroughly.
