Neither are easy and this is coming from a person that does both. Your best bet is to choose one and become good at it. If cloud technology is more interesting, go learn AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. If data science is more interesting go with that, learn a scientific language like Python, R, Scala, SAS, etc... but neither are easy
