why did solo learn change there style??

I first used SL in 2015 when it was a young App. Besides the mostly programming language tutorials, they also had tutorials on MS Excel, Photography, Christmas photography and Makeup! It was the first and last tutorial about makeup that I ever did 😉. Since then, SL has transformed into a programming only app.

I also remember that the Java tutorial in 2015 had at least a small collection of YouTube style videos. SL has also removed video tutorial content and made the App more uniform and streamlined.

Back in the day, there was no community, no Q&A, no challenges, no user generated content, no code coach and no code playground. I think that the App is better now.

Around 2018/2019 there were horrendous server side network connectivity issues where the only error message provided suggested a potential problem with the user's own network. I think that the connectivity for most users is better today even if the user population has grown significantly. Even from this sense the user experience is better today.

Sometimes we like the updated app sometimes don't, this update is not so good but i'm sure the next update will be more exciting and everyone will like it
