Hi, microcontrollers in simple language, what are they useful and what are their uses, I saw many sites, but the problem became very vague and unknown to me, for example, by learning Java and then Android, you can create a program for Android (simple explanation) and what for microcontrollers?

I guess, you could use a microcontroller with sensors to make your own video game controller (for your own game).

Once we used an Arduino and orientation sensors, wrote a C programm (or C++?) to continously output the orientation of the sensor. We used these orientation data in another programm on our computer, so the screen would turn black when we rotated the sensor too much

You can use microcontrollers for interacting with sensors (temperature, orientation, touch, ...)
