Very much yes. What is shown here is a tiny subset of what SQL is capable of. SQL is also just the language, there is whole subject of database that SQL is used with. Just to give you an example, MySQL reference manual is more than 5500 pages long. SQL 1999 standard was only some 1200 pages long. Oracle SQL reference is a mere web 499 pages long and that's core SQL plus some extras. So yes, it can be a bit challenging.
