Are we creating some kind of "global mind" with apps like this ?

Think about the fact that roughly 15M people are interacting wirh each other, sharing ideas, codes, opinions, etc. We are still individuals with different tastes and personalities, but all of this idea sharing dynamic could lead to people creating new programs at a much faster rate than usual.

Will we one day ultimately become like The Borg in Star Trek, all linked together through "subspace channels" (Quantum Field Theory?) with some giant collective mind? Or will we remain as we are today?

we will remain as we are today, but we will able to do everything faster (as we can access what we want, so saving our time) and easier.
The only thing that will change is we will have much bigger database from where we can learn more from others.
We will have more ideas, as knowledge will be shared.
