both are good but if you have a low end machine use eclipse as it uses low ram than netbeans

I feel both stand more or less on the same level. But , for day to day coding I feel netbeans would serve the purpose and eclipse should be used when a person gets a little pro in Java . Moreover , eclipse is little difficult to understand than netbeans and eclipse is used more in android app development.
