Is there a way to turn off auto fill?

I am doing this on mobile and the auto fill where you type "(" and it does"( )" is nothing but trouble for me as it leads to me constantly having to reposition where I am typing and if I made a mistake and tried to put tags around an existing line, for example: print 'Bob', it does print()'bob' and then I have to move over delete and then still add the ending parenthesis manually.
So my question: is there a way to turn this off?

Sadly I just installed it and can't find the arrow 🥲

Scratch that i tinkered in settings and it is in 5row layout
