I am not a Python specialist. But I work with Python from time to time mostly for automating stuff or simple programs.

I use Visual Studio code mainly. A Python specialist will likely be using PyCharm or Visual Studio IDE for Python. Data scientists have a specialised set of tools that makes their work easier.

As a beginner, I advice using a simple text editor. Some good ones are:
1. Visual Studio Code
2. Atom Editor
3. Sublime Text 3
4. Adobe Brackets
