Hi, I am using Notepad++. It's very easy to use and lightweight. But you can use Sublime Text or Atom.

I start practicing in Notepad++ and I love it. Is very easy to use and friendly with the user. A few months ago a friend recomends me Sublime Text so I give it a try and all I have to say is that it is much better than Notepad++, Sublime autocomplete some code line and it is very helpful and the theme colors are perfect for web dev. (I use Sublime when I'm working with PHP, HTML, CSS and JS) For java i like to use the IDE Netbeans or Eclipse. For C++ I use the IDE DevC Hope this helps you!
