I agree with Rellot's screwdriver, sometimes the solutions just occur to you suddenly, take a break, leave some comments or todos in the code, come back to it with a refreshed mind, and maybe you'll find out what's wrong.

Read the code again by using comments after a break, taking a flowchart of project will help.
