Why?

I get all the procedure stuff. I’m confused on why and how this is used as a language….it’s just….. math ? How does this all translate into programs etc? Why does this work ?

What is "this"? Which "procedure stuff"?

A programming language is a language that a computer can understand (more specifically: a language that the compiler/ interpreter understands). A program is a collection of instructions that accomplish specific tasks.
