Partitioning memory on windows pc to put virtual box and other things to retrieve whole using kali linux live (On USB) on same c
So I have usb with kali linux on it. I have an hp and don't have enough memory to partition off enough space to put kali on pc. Can I partition off a smaller portion of space to save things like virtual box and other thing to retrieve while on kali live. The reason I'm wanting to do this is I'm unable to connect to internet whole on kali without tp ip adapter (Which I have) but am unable to get it to work with out virtual box. I'm unable to download virtual box while on kali linux because I don't have internet connection. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and any alternative solutions (Besides get a computer with more space)....

Lol thank you for your blunt criticism (I'm not being sarcastic). I was trying to partition off a portion of DISK SPACE. This is not the same as memory? I've never been to school for computers and am learning on my own. Also, if I run live version, I'm unable to retrieve things that I previously downloaded on windows (that I want to run with linux) and if I try to download on Linux, I do not have permission because I don't have root access. So that is where I'm at tonight when I get off my day job (Which has nothing to do with computers). Any guidance, direction, and/or-- especially-- criticism, would be greatly appreciated....
