Para convertir una entrada a int, usa esto:
entrada = int(input())
O:
entrada = input()
entrada = int(entrada)
(Es lo mismo)

Para convertir una entrada a expresión decimal, solo haz esto:
entrada = float(input())
O:
entrada = input()
entrada = float(entrada)
(Es lo mismo, nuevamente)

Por último, convertir la entrada a str, usa:
entrada = input()

(Ya que el input es, siempre, convertido a str cuando no le pones float o int)

Con todo esto se llega a la conclusión que, como dijo NEZ, se hace esto:
height = float(input())
weight = float(input())
