How to make an android app using Java?

I am familiar with the basics of python and c programming. I am learning java so that I can build apps that I can run on my android phones like the other android apps with graphical user interface, app icon, ...

I am totally new in Java, what are the steps and information I need to know to make such an app?

For now, I am learning java from SoloLearn (the programming concepts are fairly similar) and will download maybe android studio on my laptop.
