Does the input type "tel" in html really works only for number inputs?

Only works on mobile devices.. in pc can try <input type="number">

Have you tried it? On mobile only a keyboard for phone numbers is displayed…
Maybe you test what happens when inputting letters on pc and see what happens?

Yes I tried it on pc and there we can input letters also.
