Is it that we must be pro users before we continue solving challenges?

After I solved some challenges, I tried to proceed to the next challenge but it keep showing I should use the pro version

Some challenges are free and some are paid, if its saying you should use the pro version then it means you have selected a pro challenge but if you still want to solve the pro challenges then i'll recommend you to follow this link. It will take you to a github page there you can see the description of all the challenges including pro + free

Just exit out that bubble and you should be fine. I believe on the code projects at the end of the courses are really only Pro.
