Mistaken by a hacker!

So i told my family i am learning coding (python) and they were very supportive! Then i made this joke that i can hack the naughty little cousins iPads! But the problem is that there is that one family member who believed me and i told him its JUST A JOKE, after that he started talking about someone who recently hacked the school system (cause he is a teacher) and now he is sus bout me! And now he sees me as a hacker not a decent coder! What should i do?

Well in my opinion... Hacker ain't bad people, it just depends on the person's mindset and what they do. Did you know Big tech companies employ hacker to test their security system. Honestly I would like to be a hacker too but also be a developer at same time... It not impossible but it's gonna be really tough.

In general note: learn from the mistake "Never lie to any one". Don't bother anything, but be honest about your explanations next.. Tell truth only, again, if you needed to explain. Time will show truth automatically... Between, this is may an off-topic question. Should be on feed section. Not here.. https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/1316935/?ref=app

I think this post is OK because it is coding related. (Mirielle in my eyes it is a coding affaire that per hazard become domestic) For a part of the society coding, AI, computer... are evil. Confronted with a harmless joke might feed all the fears. Didn't Harry Potter do something similar with his naughty cousin? Ok...if he is a teacher: Ask him to let you to give a short workshop about security of Smartphones in his class. Although if you are not experienced yourself....Google will help. There - as a last word of your Workshop you can clearly say that coding and hacking are different things.

I have a hard time believing you are a hacker in any way shape or form. I'm sure law enforcement will agree.
