Do you want a chat feature? [Yes/No]
Note : This is not a chat thread. We saw many posts about some of us, Sololearners requesting a chat feature in Sololearn. And, there are posts in which some expressed that chat feature is not at all necessary and needed. What is your opinion? Do you think a chat feature is needed or are Q/A Discussions are enough? Yes/No answer is appreciated. If you want, you can mention why you chose your answer.

*In a bit of dilemma here*
There are both, pros and cons for the feature
According to me for solo learn to test it they should add it in an update and see if the community likes it and uses it as expected. If not they can remove it in the next update. 😐

Not a chat no, but a way to send private messages between people who follow each other.

No , that would turn into a Facebook app ... it might stop being an educational app .

Yes. Make global chat rooms. Roll out spam and content moderation powers to mods. Make guild chat rooms and private chat rooms too. We have a block feature. Integrate that.

A chat feature is not necessary for a programming platform. In my opinion, Sololearn shouldn't add such a feature

[yes]
Personally I would like to have chat or at the very least a way to private message💌 peeps😀👍

I would say NO , well this a learning app , if they add chatting feature no doubt they all will be about socialising stuff which ain't important it will just make Sololearn's servers heavy .
The amount of socialising we need is already done through comments and Q/A
Group coding is a different stuff that doesn't count in chat. For the rest of useful things
Q/A thread already includes that.
About the people talking about similar interests , this app is made for people having a similar interest in programming , other interests - what favourite Food .

I would say it is a good option and many of use want to have public and private chats, I am not sure if it's really necessary but maybe it can be useful for making group coding or just meeting people interested in the same thing as you

If there is a chat feature it will not be possible to use app in most u.s. education environments

i have doubt in chat.
maybe it will be better if Q&A discussion is separated into 3 section.
1. Code discussion
2. General info forum
3. Complain discussion
if there is a chat, i hope it is added in general info forum so it won't distract users who want to discuss about their code.

@Krishna sir, i don't think so chat feature is needed...Q/A is good whats the problem anybody posts anything whether questions on programming some silly question like my Likestorm one and polls on OS or CODERS ....and nobody complains so i dont think so its needed..If chat feauture comes SOLOLEARN may become a social site then rather learning

No. I believe Chat and private messege will ruin the app.
+ 15
Yes I want it.

I support the feature.
coz it would make group discussion n group coding much easy.
but it must not be similar to Other social media chats... rather it should include more feature like git

If we'd have a chat feature, then this app would no longer remain solo-learn

Yes because why not? :V

YES//because some times in Q/A we only reply or chat with one or two using @xyz.....
So this would be helpful as people who are connected to thread get notifications not concerning them..

it has both Advantage and Disadvantage
->Advantage
it helps the people who went to ask some one specifically
->Disadvantage
-there are some one who can use such a social media
-it causes sololearn team to increase the security.

Yes because i see many beginners out here, they get stuck on simple problems. It takes a lot to clarify their doubts on post comments. If at all chat is there it can be handled instantly and can make the things more clear for beginners.
