Is it difficult to start coding (and career) after 30?

If you've never coded before for sure it will be difficult, there's lots to learn. That being said, it's really never to late. I'm 18 and every once in awhile I worry that I won't be able to get career from coding even though I've already been doing it for 2 years. Not because I don't understand what I'm doing or the market is hard, rather because I just doubt myself. Untill I look around my class and see a ~50 year old man studying math to become an engineer simply because it peaked his interest. If you keep trying and practicing, in a matter of months you can start working on bigger algorithms like the game of life if you really stick to it. Once you can do that, surely you can work on a simple game. It would take awhile before you could get a career out of it, but I can assure you, you can do it. Just don't drop your current career until your comfortable with coding.

It's never too late. if you get qualified and know where to look for, you'll get the job.

As for me it does not matter. If you want it you will do it! Never give up! No pain no gain! I am 33 years old and I start my coding too. ✌

I'm 30 years old too. And I just start learning Python. I think is very difficult to learn programming, but it's worth it. Keep learn ;-)
