Did I miss something in regards to the different operators in Intro to Python?

Question

I am new to coding, having just finished intro to SQL and want to learn more. Having just completed the 'Working with Input' lesson in intro to python, suddenly I am being asked to provide the output of a command that is using the modulo operator. I only know about this now having googled what "//" means in regards to Python. But I do not recall this ever having been mentioned in any of the previous lessons or practice's before hand.

Did I miss something or is there another course I should have completed before starting Intro to Python?

python core is the old course first added here. later it splitted to beginner+intermediate+advanced with more exersizes added..
other are advanced topics...
