Umar Attahiru actually decompiling software is not an easy task, for C# applications I found that Jet brains DotPeek can decompile windows *.exe, *.dll, ... some more files to their source code

1. It depends on the programming language used. For example, IDE "IDEA" from JetBrains can decompile java-byte-code "on the fly".
2. Some languages are more difficult to decompile.
3. The larger the code base of the program, the more difficult the decompilation.
4. And there is obfuscation which does difficult to recognize the source code.
5. And, if honestly, anyway decompiling would be not useful for you if you ask such questions. Because it's not a simple process and it required really good knowledge of this.
