If you're looking to start a career as a self-taught programmer, there are several things you can do to get started:
1. Choose a language: There are many programming languages to choose from, but some of the most popular ones are Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, and Ruby. I recommend starting with Python or JavaScript, as they are both beginner-friendly languages that are widely used in industry.
2. Learn the basics: Once you've chosen a language, start by learning the basics of programming, such as variables, data types, loops, and functions. There are many online resources available to help you learn, such as Codecademy, Udemy, and Coursera.
3. Build projects etc.

And for your question,
If you're looking to make career as self taught programmer, here are some tips to get you started:
1. Make yourself your own dream goal. What would you like to be? A game developer, or a web developer? Or anything else?
2. Choose a language that fits you best.
To choose a language to begin with in your programming journey, I'd recommend you to choose an easy and beginner-friendly language like Python, JavaScript, or any language that fits your dream or you.. you can consider learning Java or C++..(Not beginner friendly btw)
3. Practice!
The only key to become a successful programmer is to practice. Before building your own big and dream project, try to build small project first then goes into bigger ones! SoloLearn and some websites like HackerRank or CodeCademy provides many coding challenges for you and every programmer to make them feel better, so don't give up.
